己脒定二(羟乙基磺酸)盐 is a salt formed by the neutralization of an organic base (hexamidine) and an acid (hydroxyethyl sulfonic acid).
It is a new type of anti-dandruff and anti-itching agent, a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic and bactericidal agent against bacteria, fungi, and yeasts. It is increasingly used in the cosmetics industry and has excellent anti-acne, oil control, anti-irritation, and anti-dandruff effects.
Our scalp keratinocytes complete a replacement and renewal cycle approximately every 28 days. During this metabolic process, a large amount of old and waste keratin is shed, commonly known as dandruff. Malassezia is a single-celled fungus belonging to the yeast family. Characteristics of Hexamidine
1. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against Malassezia is 12.5 μg/ml, and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) is 100 μg/ml;
