Efficacy Performance
From August 1, 2022, to November 20, 2022, 120 patients with ordinary acne inflammatory papules were recruited from the dermatology outpatient clinic of Luohu District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shenzhen as research subjects and randomly divided into a control group (5% benzoyl peroxide gel, 59 cases) and an observation group (colloidal sulfur lotion, 61 cases). Both groups used the medication continuously for 28 days, and follow-up visits were conducted at weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4 after medication. The anti-acne test results of colloidal sulfur lotion were not significantly different from benzoyl peroxide gel. The specific results are shown in the figure:
A 13-year-old Asian boy used 5% benzoyl peroxide (BPO) combined with 1% clindamycin gel to treat acne for 1 year without significant effect (as shown in the figure). After switching to Sodium Sulfacetamide 10%-Sulfur 5%, there was a significant improvement.
