Glutathione (GSH) is an antioxidant involved in many metabolic and cell cycle-related cellular functions. Increasing its plasma levels may have beneficial systemic effects and potential therapeutic significance.
S-acetylglutathione (SAG) is a precursor to GSH, which is more stable in plasma. Moreover, SAG has a less pronounced odor and a higher absorption rate. It is directly absorbed by cells and then converted into GSH.
Application guidance:
1. Recommended for use in whitening and brightening products, spot-fading products, sunscreen, post-sun care, and skin revitalizing anti-wrinkle products.
2. Suggested addition amount: 0.2~1%.
3. Solubility: soluble in alcohol, soluble in polar oils.
4. Best effect at pH 4.0~5.5.
