Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (PAD) is an innovative multifunctional skincare active ingredient that significantly enhances water solubility and bioavailability through the molecular combination of azelaic acid with glycine in potassium salt form.
Product Effects:
Oil Control & Acne Prevention
By inhibiting 5α-reductase activity, it reduces excessive sebum secretion from the sebaceous glands, preventing clogged pores from the source. It also inhibits acne-causing Propionibacterium acnes and Malassezia, lowering the risk of redness and pimples caused by bacteria.
Anti-Inflammatory & Soothing
Regulates the expression of inflammatory factors (like IL-6 and TNF-α), easing redness and pain in acne-prone areas. It can also help improve inflammation-related skin issues such as rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis.
Gentle Exfoliation
Promotes normal differentiation of epidermal keratinocytes to help unclog pores, but unlike traditional acids (like salicylic acid), it won’t over-exfoliate the skin, making it more suitable for sensitive skin.
