Ascorbic acid tetraisopalmitate (VC-IP) is an esterified derivative of vitamin C. VC-IP was approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as a functional whitening agent in 2006 and is the only one of the 13 whitening ingredients recognized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Taiwan. It is also the only one of the 13 whitening ingredients recognized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan as “drug-containing cosmetics”.
BeriCos® VCIP-Nano, prepared by nano-dispersion technology of ascorbic acid tetraisopalmitate sub-nano-emulsion, has a controlled particle size of 100-150nm, smaller particle size brings faster absorption, and transdermal absorption speed test using LOGAN transdermal diffusion instrument, the absorption speed is increased by more than 20% compared to the prototype VC-IP. BeriCosTM VCIP-Nano is an oil-in-water emulsion, which can be added to creams and lotions after emulsification and cooling, making it easy to use and avoiding the degradation of VCIP during high temperature emulsification.
