Azelaic acid (AZA), also known as azelaic acid, is a naturally occurring saturated dicarboxylic acid containing nine carbon atoms, and is an important medium-length chain dibasic acid. Azelaic acid has a long history of application in cosmetics and has a very high safety profile for inhibiting excessive oil secretion, eliminating acne and blemishes, and skin whitening.
BeriCos® AzA-Nano is a solution to the problem of azelaic acid application by applying supramolecular encapsulation technology, which has good solubility, high utilization and low irritation. By using supramolecular encapsulation technology, azelaic acid is encapsulated with hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin, which does not change the chemical structure and properties of azelaic acid, but also greatly improves its water solubility, solubility up to 20% (25℃), high bioavailability, and reduces irritation, which is more favorable for use in skin drugs, cosmetics and care products.
